"Why Me? I can't head up a woman's ministry Lord, you got the wrong woman!", but the Lord told Linda, she is the one that had it all wrong!
Here's a little bit about the lady who formed our group here.

Linda Anne (Welsh) Fisk was born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), Africa, to Scottish parents. When she turned 10 years old, Linda, along with her parents and her younger brother Iain, moved back home to Scotland where Linda spent most of her young adult life.  In search of a better life for her 2 sons, Linda immigrated to America in 1989, leaving her brother and parents behind.

Linda came to Jesus when her daughter was 18 months old, and was baptized in the Detroit River on a cloudy June afternoon – it was not the most hygienic place to be submerged! But Jesus knew it was time, and her life with the Lord began.

As the struggles of life tested her Faith, Linda was introduced to Heart of the Hills Church in October 2006, by a loving colleague at the spa where she worked.  As a single parent at the time, Linda freely admits, “I prayed to God to send me a Christian man who would love me and never leave me, and one who had children because my children, outside of God, were the most important things in my life.” God always answers prayers, and His timing is perfect. On Palm Sunday, 2008, the widowed Pastor Rob Fisk asked Linda to marry him in front of his whole congregation!  She said Yes!

After God spoke to Linda for 2 years about starting a women’s ministry, The Woman’s “Heart” was born.  Linda’s vision for this Ministry was to have fellowship with the ladies of Heart, and to be able to reach out to the community, and one day the World.  Today, with great support from Godly sisters in the church, The Woman’s “Heart” is moving to amazing new heights, and broadening horizons. Linda is blessed beyond measure, at the direction this fellowship is now taking.

Linda is thankful for the immense blessings of her husband, children, friends and family, at Heart of the Hills Christian Church.
